About us

  • O’ Malley builders was established in 1972 by Micheal O’Malley after working in the building industry for more than 10 years previously. The new O’Malley builders firm was based in Ballina working on a wide range of projects over the years; from building new homes, undertaking repairs, home improvements with extension and alterations to houses and being there for emergencies.

The business grew with new commercial and public works across Ballina and Mayo – schools, churches, offices, retail and industrial.

In 1981 O’Malley and Son Ltd (Ballina) was formed as the ever growing expansion of the business, both Micheal sons later joined the business, Michael (Jnr) and Fergal. This allowed the business to increase the range and complexity of work it offered; Micheal, with his qualifications and experience in surveying and project management, and Fergal’s carpentry and site management.

The business had an excellent reputation for quality and hard work, this continued and as a result the business has continued to grow.
